Hope House: For girls born in Calcutta’s largest red-light neighborhood, a future within the illegal sex-trade business is almost certain.
Even for those who aren’t forced to sell their body, the opportunities to make a life for themselves outside the nefarious community are slim. The Hope House is a safe, productive, and fun alternative residence where parents can volunteer to send their young daughters, knowing that they will grow up in an environment that is designed to provide them with a bright and healthy future. Located one hour away from Calcutta, on a remarkable open property with mango trees, fields, and large active pond, the parents are still able to be an integral part of their daughter’s life, but can be confident that their child is safe. The Hope House is currently in its final construction phase and will be completed in 2013. Please consider helping us finish the construction of this refuge for young girls by donating today.
